Metro Vancouver’s Regional Growth Strategy
The RGS sets planning trajectories for the region in terms of land use, transportation, the economy, agriculture, and more. All municipalities (and UBC) must include a regional context statement within their Official Community Plans which explain how they will attribute to the region’s goals and directives. The RGS is in draft format.

TransLink 2040 plan
Developed alongside the Regional Growth Strategy, TransLink’s 2040 plan sets the long-term goals and objectives for transportation in the Greater Vancouver region. The 2040 plan was completed in 2009.

TransLink’s annual 10 year plans
Each year, TransLink produces a 10 year plan which addresses the capital and operational future of the organization. The 10 year plans are a detailed road map to achieving the goals of the long range 2040 plan.
The 10 year plans are produced each year.
Ministry of Transport Transit Plan
The transit plan highlights rapid transit to UBC as a provincial priority. The transit plan was announced in late 2008.

Opening Up BC – Transportation Strategy
A plan produced by the BC Ministry of Transport which connects economic growth of the province to expanding the transportation infrastructure. The plan was produced in 2003.
